How can i speed up my bsnl broadband connection?

I use BUSINESS-700 plan for bsnl internet connection. i can’t get speed more than 240 kbps. my friend also using bsnl broadband and his office is in my complex. but he can get speed 800 kbps. we both have same plan. is there any mistake with my connection. what type of problem may i have? hardware or software. pls answer me.

of course there are soem softwares which increse your broad band speed. you can try them online..
genrally to increase the speed of broad band u need to control the traffic whihc is coming from ur cable. i suggest you to find information from bsnlabout how to handle the modem which has been given to .. and also tyry downloading soft wares whihc increse your borad band and download speed..
