Also don’t be afraid to drop in on other peoples conversations. This is an ideal way to get to know others and get some good contacts. Don’t ever feel bad for eavesdropping because there are probably plenty of other people who are doing the same thing to you.

If you know what you are doing, Twitter can be a great networking tool but you must put forth a little effort and time into it. If you want quick results, it may not happen but it all depends on what you do to make it a good source.

Try to not get frustrated if you start conversations and no one participates. It may take some time to get things established and going with your networking skills. Remember that you are new to Twitter and it make take some time to get into the swing of things. But remember to have fun while you are getting to know the program and all it has to offer.
